In a twinkle
The gleam vanishes,
Warm hearts
Turn glacial.
Singing to the phantoms
On my back
Trying to appease them
Lull them numb,
Whilst I gasp.
Trying to swallow life
Into the corpse
I have become.
Overburdened by my past,
Cranial drumbeats
Share the stage
With jittering teeth
And a grinding
Stomach organ.
Neurosis eat rationale
As I dive into the swamp.
Desire oxygen
Get stale air instead
Try to pick
Thoughts
Out of my head,
But it
Just bled
And bled instead.
Inside me
Bursting cloud shrouds
I’ve become.
